Northern Health continues to take a cautious approach to resuming services. That includes the Northern Health Connections bus service for people requiring medical support outside of their community.
As part of our continued work to increase capacity on our buses while maintaining the health and safety of our passengers and drivers, we are now going to require masks on all routes. This will enable us to utilize all rows on the bus, allowing one passenger per two seats. Maximum capacity will be 19 individuals. Exceptions will be made, as required, for companions who must ride next to the person they are supporting.
PLEASE NOTE: Passenger eligibility for travellers 60+ will continue to be suspended to accommodate health care travellers while seating is limited. We are hopeful over the coming weeks to make additional changes and will provide updates accordingly.
REMINDER: All travel must be booked through the call centre at 1-888-647-4997 and all bookings must be done 48 hours in advance. Seats will be assigned and you will be asked screening questions. If you are showing symptoms you may not be eligible to travel.
